Privacy Policy
Update Date: August 09, 2026
Effective Date: August 09, 2026
Qinzhou Oupula Computer Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “the Oupulator”) fully recognizes the critical importance of personal information security. This policy is intended to explain how our software products (hereinafter referred to as “the Software”) collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information and related data.
The Software is a purely utility-oriented application (including terminal connection, file transfer, database management, etc.), with a design principle of “local-first, data self-control.” This policy complements the “Public Terms of Service.” By using the Software, you signify that you have fully understood and agreed to the contents of this policy.
I. How We Collect and Use Your Information
We collect and use your personal information only for the following purposes described in this policy and to the “minimum necessary” extent. We divide information into “Core Necessary Information” and “Extended Optional Information” based on functional necessity.
(A) Core Necessary Information (without which the Software cannot function properly)
- Basic Device Information: Device model, operating system version, OAID (anonymous device identifier), IP address, network status. Used for software adaptation, network connection optimization, basic security protection, and troubleshooting.
- Usage and Service Logs: Software startup records, functional operation events, protocol connection status. By default, such logs are stored only in specific folders on your local device and are not uploaded to any cloud server.
- User-Actively-Entered Information: Server address, username, password, port, etc., that you actively enter when configuring a server or logging into an account. This information is used only to establish connections and complete operations you specify, and is not uploaded to the Oupulator’s servers by default.
(B) Extended Optional Information (requires your explicit consent or active triggering)
- Debugging and Feedback Information: The Software disables the debug log feature by default. If you need to report an issue to customer service, you can manually enable debug mode and independently choose to upload the generated logs to the designated feedback page. We use this information solely for fixing specific issues and not for any other unrelated purposes.
- File and Cloud Synchronization Information:
- The Software primarily runs locally and does not actively upload your file contents, unless you actively use features such as “cloud synchronization/backup” that explicitly require uploading.
- Authentication information (Token/Refresh Token) you use to connect to third-party cloud drives is stored only locally when cloud configuration synchronization is not enabled.
- Zero-Knowledge Encryption Mechanism: When you actively use the Software’s “cloud configuration synchronization” feature, your server configuration information and third-party cloud authentication information will be encrypted locally with a high-strength encryption using an independent encryption password you set, before being transmitted to cloud storage. This encryption password is never transmitted to any cloud server, and the Oupulator is technically unable to decrypt your configuration data.
II. How We Use Information
The purposes for which we collect information are limited to:
- Basic Oupulations: Providing, maintaining, and ensuring the proper functioning of the Software, including protocol connection, file transfer, bug fixing, and version updates.
- Experience Optimization: Optimizing software performance, interface interaction, and functional logic.
- Security Assurance: Conducting security checks, risk control, and preventing malicious attacks and account theft.
- Legal Compliance: Complying with laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, or responding to lawful instructions from judicial/administrative authorities.
- User Authorization: Other uses to which you have separately consented.
III. Information Storage and Protection
(A) Storage Location and Duration
- Storage Location: Your information is primarily stored on your local device, your self-built server, or the third-party cloud storage you actively use. The Oupulator’s servers only store the encrypted configuration information you actively synchronize.
- Storage Duration: We retain your information only for the shortest period necessary to provide services to you. When you cancel your account or do not use the synchronization service for 【180】 consecutive days, we will delete the encrypted configuration information stored in the cloud. Locally stored data is managed by you.
(B) Security Protection Measures
We adopt technical and administrative measures that comply with industry standards to protect your information, including:
- Transmission Encryption: Using TLS/SSL encryption for critical links.
- Local Encryption: Using high-strength algorithms (such as AES-256) for cloud configuration synchronization, with the encryption key known only to you, and the Oupulator does not store, transmit, or have the ability to decrypt it.
- Access Control: Implementing strict permission management within the Oupulator, and unauthorized personnel cannot access the servers.
© Scope of Responsibility
Please note: The internet environment is not absolutely secure. We only bear corresponding legal liability when data breaches occur due to gross technical negligence on our part. Special Note: Your encryption password for cloud synchronization is the sole credential for restoring your data. If you forget or lose this password, the Oupulator cannot help you recover or reset it, and any loss resulting from the inability to recover encrypted cloud data shall be borne by you.
IV. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We commit not to sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except in the following circumstances:
- Obtaining your explicit, separate consent;
- To fulfill your request, where a third party must assist in providing the service (e.g., when you initiate downloads from cloud drives, transmission must occur via third-party cloud interfaces);
- Legal or mandatory regulatory/judicial requirements;
- To protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Oupulator, you, or the public, and within a reasonable scope (e.g., fraud prevention).
Special Declaration: We will never share your “cloud synchronization encryption password” with any third party, nor will we use this password for any other internal purposes.
In the event of mergers, divisions, asset transfers, etc., of the Oupulator, your information will be transferred as part of the assets and will continue to be strictly bound by this policy (the recipient must continue to perform this policy or re-obtain your authorization).
Appendix: List of Third-Party SDKs (Software Development Kits)
To implement specific functions, the Software may integrate third-party services. Such third parties cannot obtain your cloud synchronization encryption password, nor can they decrypt the encrypted configuration information. The specific list is as follows:
The Software currently does not integrate any third-party SDKs
V. Your Personal Information Rights
You have the following legal rights, and we will respond to your requests within 【15】 business days:
- Inquiry and Correction: You have the right to inquire about or correct your personal information through the Software’s “Settings” page or by contacting customer service.
- Withdrawal of Consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent to the collection and use of certain information (e.g., disabling debug log upload). After withdrawal of consent, we will no longer process the corresponding information, but this does not affect processing already carried out based on consent before the withdrawal, and withdrawal may result in some extended features being unavailable.
- Account Cancellation: You have the right to cancel your account or stop using the Software. After cancellation, we will immediately clear the local cache and delete the encrypted configuration information stored in the cloud within 30 days. The encryption password you use will cease to exist upon deletion of local data, and the Oupulator retains no copy.
- Modify Encryption Password: You have the right to modify the encryption password for cloud synchronization at any time. This operation only changes the locally saved password and does not affect the encrypted data content already stored in the cloud.
VI. Data Storage Location and Cross-Border Transfer Statement
Given that the Software is positioned as a “local-first” network tool and supports user-customized server addresses and third-party cloud services, the storage location and transmission path of your data are entirely determined by your active configuration:
- Local and Self-Built Services: Your files, configurations, and connection keys are stored by default only on your local device or the server you designate. The Oupulator does not provide a unified file storage repository, nor does it interfere with or intercept the peer-to-peer communication link between your device and your designated server.
- Cross-Border Transmission Initiated by User: When you actively connect the Software to a server located outside your country/region or to a third-party cloud drive (such as Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.), the relevant network requests will be sent directly from your device to that overseas destination. This transmission is initiated by you, and the Oupulator acts solely as a local tool provider and cannot monitor, intercept, or obtain the file contents in this transmission link.
- Storage Location of Cloud Configuration Synchronization: When you actively use the Software’s “cloud configuration synchronization” feature, your encrypted configuration information will be stored on the Oupulator’s designated cloud servers (located in Hong Kong). However, since all data is end-to-end encrypted using an independent password you personally set, the Oupulator is technically unable to decrypt the passwords and third-party cloud credentials contained therein, so this storage is considered merely the hosting of encrypted binary files and does not involve substantive “processing” or “monitoring” of your personal content by the Oupulator.
- User Responsibility: You understand and agree that the overseas server or cloud drive you choose to connect to must comply with the local laws and regulations of that region. The Software is merely a tool and does not provide any express or implied warranty as to the privacy protection level or compliance of the target server you choose.
VII. Protection of Minors
Our company’s Software is a purely utility-oriented application, and its functions do not involve any age-restricted content, nor do they contain any pornographic, violent, or adult-exclusive information.
During normal use, the Software does not actively collect your real name, ID number, biometric data, or other information that could be used to identify age or identity; all configurations and connection credentials are stored by default only on the user’s local device. Therefore, we cannot and do not actively distinguish whether the user is a minor.
If a guardian discovers that a minor has used the Software without consent and believes that we have inadvertently collected the minor’s personal information (e.g., by submitting contact information through customer service feedback channels), they may contact us according to the contact information in Article 11 of this policy, and we will promptly delete the relevant data after verification.
VIII. Third-Party Service Links
The Software may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as help documentation, external cloud login pages). Such third-party services will process your information in accordance with their own privacy policies. We assume no responsibility for the privacy practices of such third parties. We recommend that you carefully read their privacy policies before accessing third-party services.
IX. Policy Updates and Notifications
We may revise this policy based on business changes or legal/regulatory requirements.
- Minor Adjustments: After updates, they will be announced on the “About” page of the Software or on the official website.
- Major Changes (such as changes to the types of information collected, purposes of use, or third-party sharing partners): We will obtain your re-consent through prominent in-app pop-ups or email notifications. Before obtaining your consent to major changes, we will suspend relevant operations.
